Endeavoring to share his knowledge, John conducts seminars throughout the United States and Canada. He has authored numerous articles on dogs and dog training. He has served as the Present of

both the GSPCA and the National German Shorthaired Pointer Association (NGSPA). He was an NGSPA

board member and has served on the boards of the Pointing Breed Advisory Committee, and the National Bird Dog Hall of Fame. Also, in demand as an AKC judge, he has judged National Championships for the Irish Setter Club of America, the GSPCA, The German Wirehaired Pointer Club

of America and the American Brittany Club.

For his service to the sport, John has received the prestigious McGinnis Award from the NGSPA and an

Honorary Life Member Award from the GSPCA. In 2008, he was inducted into the Field Trial Hall of Fame in Grand Junction, TN.
